International Mountain Day


International Mountain Day, which is celebrated on 11 December, aims to raise awareness of the importance of mountains not only for the environment but also for society. Recognising the importance of mountains contributes to the protection of valuable ecosystems and promotes the sustainable development of mountain areas around the world.
For this holiday, we have selected from our archive a websites dedicated to our highest mountains, the Krkonose mountains, which we have been archiving regularly since 2006. In our web archive you can also see how the website of the association, which brings together mountaineers in the Czech Republic, has changed.
