Teachers' Day is a celebration of the work of teachers and their contribution to society, celebrated in the Czech Republic on 28 March in honour of the birth of Jan Amos Komenský, the “teacher of nations”. He laid the foundations of modern pedagogy by advocating demonstrative teaching, sequential learning and adapting education to the age of the child. He also stressed the importance of lifelong learning and education in moral values.
This day is an opportunity to express gratitude to teachers for their patience, dedication and efforts to educate future generations.
